Aureon Replaces Legacy Process with Equinox

Aureon Chooses Equinox For Reporting And Mediation Solution

COMPANY CUSTOMIZES TELELINK PLATFORM FOR RECENT PROJECT

Equinox Information Systems, a leading software solutions provider who currently processes over 2 billion records a day for telecommunications companies around the world, is pleased to partner with Aureon on a reporting and mediation project. For over 30 years, Aureon has delivered end-to-end, full-service technology solutions for the clients they serve across the U.S. Last year, Aureon struck a deal with Equinox to replace a legacy process with a new system that mediated all their network traffic to multiple data targets, including end user billing and downstream operational support systems (OSS). The project also required the new system to provide reporting and analysis of the network traffic it mediated. Since 1986, Equinox’s applications have helped telecom companies around the world stop fraud, mediate usage data, manage expense, and optimize revenue, making them a perfect candidate to design and deploy the new system.

“Equinox clearly understands the business of mediation, reporting, and the role these processes play in revenue assurance initiatives,” explained Tim Gunderson, Aureon’s Director of Network Operations. “Their industry knowledge and technical expertise made them the clear choice for this project.”

TeleLink’s powerful mediation engine accepts records from multiple different network sources, standardizes the files, and then outputs data that is formatted and routed for delivery to the receiving system(s). As TeleLink processes these records, it compiles a searchable data warehouse, which allows virtually limitless reporting as well as analysis and identification of revenue assurance opportunities, cost reductions, and operational efficiencies.

“Equinox is delighted to partner with Aureon on this project,” commented Equinox EVP, David West. “TeleLink’s ability to handle all their unique mediation requirements is a testament to its interoperability and extensibility. We are confident that Aureon’s investment in TeleLink will result in the same type of short-term cost savings as well as year-after-year revenue optimizations we’ve seen as part of our work with hundreds of other customers.”
