Carma Achieves Finalist Across Multiple Categories in the Pipeline Innovation Awards

Carma Selected as Finalist in the
2020 Pipeline Innovation Awards

Carma recognized for innovations in OSS, BSS, Data Aggregation,
and Customer Experience

Carma® today announced that it has been selected as a Finalist in four separate categories in the 2020 Pipeline Innovation Awards.

The annual Pipeline Innovation Awards are specifically designed to provide the most credible recognition of technical innovation in the industry.  Each year, Pipeline receives hundreds of nominations which are distilled to a select number of semi-finalists, who compete in more than 10 categories of technical innovation. Semi-finalists submit extensive information to validate their innovation, which is objectively scored across over 20 different aspects of technical innovation. This information is provided to an esteemed judging panel consisting of key executives from service provider, analyst, and financial organizations who exclusively select the most innovative competitor in each category.

The comprehensiveness of Carma made it a natural submission for the Innovation Award’s categories in Business Support Systems (BSS), Operational Support Systems (OSS), Data Aggregation, and Customer Experience. Carma allows users to manage the complete customer relationship from lead to order, identify the assets consumed to deliver customer service, and link services to invoice line items, backward and forward. These capabilities allow Carma to automate revenue assurance and expense controls, correlate data for integrating acquired companies, and provide complete business continuity in dynamic markets.

“We are honored by the recognition of Carma’s innovations from Pipeline’s Innovation Awards program,” said Frank McDermott, Carma’s CEO. “Carma gives cloud, content and connectivity providers the simplicity they aspire for in their digital transformation initiatives, stability in a robust platform built on Microsoft’s public cloud, and scalability to rapidly integrate acquisitions even if they introduce new industry verticals to the business, such as colo operators and tower companies that acquire fiber assets.”

"For nearly a decade, the Pipeline Innovation Awards have recognized the leading innovators that are transforming the industry with the most significant technical advancements," said Scott St. John, managing editor of Pipeline. "We are happy to recognize Carma for their innovations in OSS, BSS, Data Aggregation, and Customer Experience and look forward to seeing them advance through the 2020 Pipeline Innovation Awards program.”

Carma is a fully integrated inventory platform encompassing space, power, and interconnection, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), service provisioning, Meet-Me-Room operations, contract and order repositories, e-signatures, and customer facing portals.  The Carma platform addresses the unique challenges of telecommunications in an industry-focused solution that aggregates nineteen different functions into a single pane of glass, such as the traditionally disjointed management of customer services across outside plant fiber, inside plant wiring, and logical services within their silos.  The Foundational Network Inventory concept describes the need to understand the pedigree of every asset, how it is powered, and how it is interconnected before aggregating those assets into functional customer services.

The Pipeline Innovation Awards Winners are scheduled to be announced in September 2020. The Innovation Awards program continues year round and nominations are accepted from all technology companies, their agents, customers, and suppliers. Visit the Pipeline Awards for more information.
