New RF Cable Monitoring, Fault-Detection Tools Provide Real-Time Insight Into Network Performance

Agama Has The Entire RF-Cable Network Covered To Anticipate, Fix, And Prevent Faults

Agama Technologies, the specialist in video service quality and customer experience, is launching a new set of cable-focused tools enabling real-time understanding of cable RF performance across the whole network

The new Cable RF visualization and fault detection tools give full real-time insight into the cable infrastructure's performance, whilst efficiently detecting any problems. Using metrics from the subscribers' devices, the incoming data is processed and analyzed in real-time to generate actionable alerts: identifying which multiplexes are impacted with RF degradation; where in the network the problems have occurred; and, the number of affected customers for each problem.

With this information, an operations team can be proactive with maintenance, efficiently handle incidents, and prioritize to minimize downtime and service degradation for the subscriber base. At the same time, efficiency is improved as field engineers have the complete picture of RF problems affecting video services.

"We all know that the RF part of the cable distribution network is where a large proportion of problems occur, and providing better insights in this area is crucial," says Johan Görsjö, director of product management at Agama Technologies. "We are, therefore, very excited to release this new set of cable-focused features at IBC."
