20,000 AT&T Mobility Employees Get Contract Extension

AT&T Mobility, Communications Workers of America Agree to Extend Orange Contract; Negotiations Continuing

AT&T today announced an agreement with the Communications Workers of America (CWA) to extend the current contract of 20,000 AT&T Mobility Orange workers in 36 states and the District of Columbia while the two organizations continue to hammer out a new contract

 AT&T today announced that while AT&T Mobility has not reached a settlement with the Communications Workers of America of the Mobility "Orange" contract, the company and union have agreed to an extension of the contract and negotiations are continuing.

The contract covers over 20,000 employees in 36 states and the District of Columbia – AT&T's Mobility Orange unit, which encompasses CWA Districts 1, 2-13, 4, 7 and 9.

The ongoing negotiations reflect the spirit of the longstanding relationship between the company and the union. Employees will work under the terms of the extended contract while negotiations continue.

AT&T has reached 17 different labor agreements in 2016 and 2017, collectively covering over 61,000 employees. Sixteen have been ratified.
