Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Delivers Wi-Fi 6E in LATAM

Last generation of Wi-Fi 6E arrives in Latin America thanks to Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise

  • The leading provider of network solutions presents Wi-Fi 6E in Latin America expanding its family of WLAN products OmniAccess Stellar
  • Wi-Fi 6E technology represents a significant advance in connectivity, speed, security and low latency in highly crowded environments

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of digital age networking, unified communications and cloud solutions, continues to develop its portfolio of Wi-Fi solutions that enable a 6 GHz with the launch of the OmniAccess® Stellar 1400 series access points (AP) in March 2023.

ALE presents for the first time a high-end Wi-Fi 6E access point that will be followed by other mid-range and low-range access points in 2023 to complete the family. Wi-Fi 6E technology extends Wi-Fi to the 6 GHz band, adding a substantial amount of unlicensed connectivity spectrum to cater for the exponential expansion of connected devices.

In addition to the highly competitive OmniAccess Stellar AP13xx Wi-Fi 6 series, the new Wi-Fi 6E access points will expand the possibilities to handle the growing demand for wireless connectivity and higher bandwidth. With the rise of high-bandwidth, low-latency applications (such as augmented/virtual reality, 4K / 8K Ultra HD video , and medical IoT), Wi-Fi 6 now has 7 super-wide channels of 160 Mhz each available for throughputs. unprecedented superiors.

The 6 GHz Band in which the recent WiFi-6E standard operates and, very soon, the evolution to WiFi-7, allow much higher speed Internet access connections, higher capacity transmission channels and lower latency than those obtained with previous versions of these technologies, which translates into improvements in the user experience when connecting to the Internet.

"As our customers' needs continue to evolve, we will continue to meet their requirements as change becomes a constant, providing exceptional service. Customers in Wi-Fi 6E countries will be able to take advantage of one of the largest Wi-Fi 6E technologies connectivity, which will increase the performance of next-generation applications on Wi-Fi 6E devices delivering a high-quality connectivity experience," said Stephan Robineau , EVP Network Business Division, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.

Existing customers can choose from different purchasing models, including Network as a Service, to smooth the transition and evolve to new Wi-Fi standards at their own pace with minimal investment without any financial risk.
