DIRECTV CINEMA With On Demand Coming To A Hotel Room Near You

DIRECTV CINEMA Now With On Demand as Part of the DIRECTV RESIDENTIAL EXPERIENCE Gives Guests an Unrivaled In-Room Viewing Experience at Hotels Nationwide

AT&T today announced it is rolling out DIRECTV CINEMA with On Demand as part of its DIRECTV Residential Experience in hotels nationwide without subscription, login, or authentication

AT&T continues to transform in-room entertainment for hotels and lodging guests through the DIRECTV Residential Experience (DRE) with DIRECTV CINEMA®.

In addition to the current DRE features – premium content, hottest new pay per view releases, an interactive program guide and select DVR features – guests now have access to the entire content library from HBO® and SHOWTIME®. Content from Cinemax, Starz, Encore and more networks will be available soon.

Guests do not need to subscribe, login or authenticate an account. They can watch what they want, when they want, and on the best screen available—the hotel room HDTV.

“We are excited to put control of the latest and greatest content and technology in the hands of hotels and their guests. Properties with DRE have an advantage because they can offer their guests some of the comforts of home,” said Doug Eichler, vice president of commercial DIRECTV sales, for AT&T.

DIRECTV CINEMA with On Demand provides the highest viewing experience by using an on-premises video storage and caching server. This server not only provides a best-in-class viewing experience for the guests, but the property also receives the following benefits:

  • Reduced long-term high speed internet access costs
  • Minimize guest Wi-Fi usage from video streaming

Also, for a limited time AT&T offers hotels that currently subscribe to DRE the DIRECTV CINEMA and On Demand Equipment at no extra cost**.

Properties that subscribe to DRE can also offer guests customized TV messaging, a complete folio review as well as express checkout.

DRE is now available at over 4,500 hotel locations nationwide, which includes properties managed by Best Western, Hyatt, Starwood and others.
