BSO Continues Aggressive US Expansion With New Texas PoP

BSO Launches ‘Gateway to Mexico’ with New Point of Presence in McAllen Data Center

Ethernet network and cloud services provider BSO today announced it has established a new US point of presence in Texas' McAllen Data Center to enhance its north-south connectivity and provide its customers with access to global markets

BSO, the global Ethernet network, cloud and hosting provider, has established a point of presence (PoP) in McAllen Data Center, the largest colocation provider in South Texas. The PoP in McAllen will further enhance BSO’s North to South US connectivity and network reach across the Americas with its single point of entry to the growing Mexican and South American markets. McAllen Data Center’s customers will also benefit with access to global markets East and West of the US in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific on BSO’s extensive network.

The PoP is the latest in BSO’s aggressive expansion into the US, with announcements in recent weeks that have included the establishment of a New York City Metro network with a diverse route to Aurora DC3 in Chicago and the introduction of three key premium ultra low-latency trading routes between Chicago and major global financial markets.

BSO’s North to South connectivity from Chicago’s E. Cermak to Mexico via McAllen will provide further value to BSO’s oil and gas customers that operate in the region, many of which already take advantage of BSO’s high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity to key American, Mexican and Asian markets. A market-leading provider to the oil and gas industry, BSO ensures critical data is managed and transmitted securely and reliably for a growing customer base that includes a large oil and gas organization with offices in Mexico, Brazil and Texas.

McAllen Data Center offers colocation services for carriers and enterprises in McAllen, Texas. The company brings together the largest concentration of Mexican carriers in South Texas and has invested heavily in a proven power strategy to accommodate carrier level requirements; as a result, McAllen Data Center provides services with 100% uptime commitment.

“We are happy to welcome BSO to our ecosystem of leading international carriers. BSO’s network reaches every continent throughout 20 countries and 88 data centers around the world,” said Juan Salazar, CEO of McAllen Data Center. “BSO’s expansion into McAllen Data Center will provide our customers with a single point of entry to BSO’s global network, linking the US and Mexico to established markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia,” added Mr. Salazar.

“BSO is coming to America in a big way and investing heavily in infrastructure around the country to provide our clients with the fastest and most reliable connectivity in the world,” says Michael Ourabah, CEO at BSO. “It is part of BSO’s guiding principles to empower our customers to operate without the limits of borders – and we are doing just that by providing a gateway to Mexico with McAllen Data Center.
