There is, I think, a flood going on.  It’s not responsible for downing telephone lines, however.  It’s taking place over those lines, and over the wireless spectrum, and over the cable and fiber networks. 

It’s a flood of data, and it’s swelling ever-higher. 

Customer patterns have changed.  Behavior and expectations have changed.  More users are desiring more and more data-heavy services.
